We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage.</div><div><br></div><div><strong><span data-contrast="auto">About The Role:</span></strong></div> <div><span data-contrast="auto"><br>As a Test Engineer at&nbsp;Hermeus, you will play a pivotal role in developing, building,&nbsp;analyzing&nbsp;and operating test assets for our hypersonic vehicles. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking technology in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of vehicle subsystems including hydraulic system, fuel system, mechanisms, high-voltage,&nbsp;mechanisms,&nbsp;airframe structural, and more!</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></div><h3>Responsibilities:</h3><div> <li>Lead the design, development, manufacture, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of test assets (including test facilities, fixtures and rigs).&nbsp;</li> <li>Design test fixtures, tooling, adapters, panels, and other supporting hardware for test rigs and test setups.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop test plans, procedures, and protocols for a wide range of vehicle subsystems.&nbsp;</li> <li>Operate and troubleshoot a wide array of fluid and mechanical systems including pumps, motors, heat exchangers, high voltage components, test fixtures, tooling, standard fluid system components (valves, regulators, accumulators, tubing, fittings, etc).&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and technicians, to ensure effective communication and alignment on testing requirements.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain detailed records of test procedures, results, and findings, and contribute to comprehensive technical reports.&nbsp;</li> <li>Identify opportunities for process improvement, recommend innovative testing methods, and actively contribute to the enhancement of Hermeus’s test infrastructure.&nbsp;</li> </div><h3>Requirements:</h3><div> <li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field&nbsp;</li> <li>Industry experience owning a project through full lifecycle, particularly in an aerospace or high-performance engineering environment&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mechanics of materials, and mechanical design&nbsp;</li> </div><h3>Preferred Skills and Experience:</h3><div> <li>Excellent problem solving skills and attention to details&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to think of creative, outside-the-box solutions to problems&nbsp;</li> <li>Familiarity with a CAD software tool (NX preferred)&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong communication and collaboration abilities&nbsp;</li> <li>Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment&nbsp;</li> <li>Should enjoy working on a team and be able to work efficiently and effectively with others, even during stressful situations&nbsp;</li> </div>
