We design and deliver propulsion and defense systems that solve the most urgent and critical national security demands. </span></p></div><p>The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will join the Operations Team, leading development and manufacturing efforts on next-generation products and systems in aerospace and defense. The ideal candidate will be passionate about process improvement, scalability, and influencing product development. Hands-on experience in Manufacturing environments, including technical expertise in fabrication, assembly, integration, and test of complex products is required. </p> <p>This position is an on-site role based out of our Berthoud, Colorado facility.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Own and support manufacturing process development and champion industry best practices</li> <li>Establish and communicate design for manufacturing principles in a collaboration with design engineering, quality, and technical staff</li> <li>Accelerate manufacturing capabilities with consideration for quality, capacity, scalability, ergonomics, and automation</li> <li>Take a hands-on role in the manufacturing process, including prototype builds, documenting work instructions, designing and implementing tooling, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives</li> <li>Develop and implement test procedures to validate product requirements and performance</li> <li>Own manufacturing BOMs, routings, process planning, and process change management</li> <li>Author manufacturing process documentation appropriate for product maturity and design phase of the program</li> <li>Support AI&amp;T infrastructure and growth with a focus on manufacturing readiness </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Preferred skills: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering. </li> <li>5+ years experience designing or manufacturing high reliability hardware and complex assemblies</li> <li>Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and ERP systems</li> <li>Experience developing work instructions and process specifications</li> <li>Experience with production and test equipment design and operation</li> <li>Hands-on experience with hardware fabrication, assembly, integration and test </li> <li>Hands-on experience in high-growth development and production manufacturing environments</li> <li>Experience with inspection methods, common inspection tools, and GD&amp;T per ASME Y14.5</li> <li>Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Lean Transformation, Six Sigma, or Toyota Production Systems</li> <li>Experience with material processes including welding, brazing, anodizing, plating, heat treating, forging, casting, machining, metal 3D printing</li> <li>Experience with aerospace &amp; defense hardware development lifecycle</li> <li>Experience with non-destructive inspection (e.g. fluorescent penetrant inspection, radiography, ultrasonic, etc.) </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $105,000 - $130,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
