This position offers a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking technology in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of vehicle subsystems including hydraulic system, fuel system, mechanisms, high-voltage, mechanisms, airframe structural, and more!</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></div><h3>Responsibilities:</h3><div> <li>Lead the design, development, manufacture, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of test assets (including test facilities, fixtures and rigs). </li> <li>Design test fixtures, tooling, adapters, panels, and other supporting hardware for test rigs and test setups. </li> <li>Develop test plans, procedures, and protocols for a wide range of vehicle subsystems. </li> <li>Operate and troubleshoot a wide array of fluid and mechanical systems including pumps, motors, heat exchangers, high voltage components, test fixtures, tooling, standard fluid system components (valves, regulators, accumulators, tubing, fittings, etc). </li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and technicians, to ensure effective communication and alignment on testing requirements. </li> <li>Maintain detailed records of test procedures, results, and findings, and contribute to comprehensive technical reports. </li> <li>Identify opportunities for process improvement, recommend innovative testing methods, and actively contribute to the enhancement of Hermeus’s test infrastructure. </li> </div><h3>Requirements:</h3><div> <li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field </li> <li>Industry experience owning a project through full lifecycle, particularly in an aerospace or high-performance engineering environment </li> <li>Strong working knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mechanics of materials, and mechanical design </li> </div><h3>Preferred Skills and Experience: </h3><div> <li>Excellent problem solving skills and attention to details </li> <li>Ability to think of creative, outside-the-box solutions to problems </li> <li>Familiarity with a CAD software tool (NX preferred) </li> <li>Strong communication and collaboration abilities </li> <li>Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment </li> <li>Should enjoy working on a team and be able to work efficiently and effectively with others, even during stressful situations </li> </div>
