We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage.</div><div><br></div><h3><strong>About the Team:&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></h3> <div> <p>The Mission Systems Engineering Team develops and integrates the hardware and software that enable Hermeus aircraft to execute missions.</p> <p>As a Mission Systems Engineering Intern, you will work across avionics, software, communications, and system integration to help build, test, and troubleshoot mission capabilities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mix of hands-on hardware experience and software development skills.</p> </div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div> <div>Spring: Around 16 weeks (January - April)</div> <div>Summer: Around 12 weeks (May - August)</div> </div><h3>Responsibilities:</h3> <li>Support integration and testing of mission hardware, software, sensors, radios, processors, and avionics systems.</li> <li>Develop and test software for command and control, telemetry, and subsystem interfaces.</li> <li>Perform hardware/software bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting in lab, HIL, ground-test, and aircraft environments.</li> <li>Support system interfaces, networking, communication protocols, and integration requirements.</li> <li>Collaborate with software, avionics, autonomy, communications, and flight-test teams.</li> <li>Document test results, technical findings, and system configurations.</li> <h3>Required Qualifications:</h3> <li>Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with both software development and hardware integration through internships, coursework, research, projects, or competition teams.</li> <li>Programming experience in C++, Python, or a similar language.</li> <li>Experience working with embedded systems, electronics, avionics, sensors, networking, or other hardware-connected systems.</li> <li>Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across hardware and software interfaces.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary technical teams.</li> <li>GPA of 3.0 or above</li> <h3>Preferred Skills and Experience: </h3> <li>Familiarity with networking or communication protocols such as TCP/UDP, Ethernet, CAN, RS-422, or ARINC.</li> <li>Experience with electrical schematics, wiring, electronics bring-up, or test equipment.</li> <li>Exposure to HIL/SIL, robotics, UAVs, aerospace, defense, Formula SAE, rocketry, or similar hands-on projects.</li>
