About This Role

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer (SIE), Electrical is a high-profile, cross-functional position focused on enabling development and production flow of Anduril's critical Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) supply base. You will work in close coordination with internal engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing departments as well as directly with suppliers to execute effective, creative, and smart supply chain strategies to achieve production goals.

We're looking for a talented Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer to expedite the qualification and implementation of product designs with our suppliers, optimizing these designs for quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness from early development through the entire product lifecycle.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead electronics supplier industrialization for EW products from early PCBA builds through production ramp
  • Own and manage electrical commodities/subcategories across EW products, including PCB/PCBA (rigid, flex, rigid-flex), cables and wire harnesses, connectors and interconnects, passive components, active components (ICs, FPGAs, processors), and RF/microwave components
  • Execute supplier production strategies (NPI to full production) across Anduril’s EW business line
  • Vet suppliers' production capabilities, factory layout, facilities, and workforce for inclusion in Anduril's Approved Supplier List, with an emphasis on PCBA, cable/harness, and complex electronics assembly
  • Partner with engineering and suppliers to identify DFM, DFT, and DFA risks before design lock, with a specific focus on PCBA manufacturability
  • Own manufacturing process development at supplier locations and the initialization of new production lines & tooling (including SMT line configuration, reflow profiles, AOI/SPI/X-ray, and test cell setups) to ensure materials, processes, and tools meet rate and quality requirements
  • Own capacity expansion readiness, rough-cut capacity planning, and takt time studies to ensure throughput targets
  • Develop manufacturing readiness deliverables: process flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, GR&R, and yield targets for all EW electronics assemblies
  • Establish and drive performance via statistical process control (SPC) reviews at suppliers to monitor critical CTQ parameters
  • Identify and drive product and process improvements, factory layout optimization, and Value Engineering (VE) initiatives at supplier sites to lower part cost, reduce supply risk, eliminate defects, and improve cycle time
  • Support PSE, GSS, and SQE teams in ensuring suppliers understand and adhere to quality criteria, and support root cause task forces to close corrective and preventative actions at suppliers

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, supply chain, or related technical field
  • 6+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Deep PCBA expertise: SMT processing, wave/selective soldering, reflow profiling, component placement, and AOI/SPI/X-ray inspection
  • Experience with electronics manufacturing standards (IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, IPC-6012/6013) and strong understanding of DFM, DFT, and DFA
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
  • Preference is to be onsite at an Anduril office but this role is open to remote
  • Ability to be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high-tech, or related electronics manufacturing industry
  • Experience with RF/microwave assemblies and high-reliability electronics
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and certifications (AS9100, ISO 9001)
  • Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification or demonstrated continuous improvement expertise
  • Exposure to working in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
