Integration Engineer – Structures & Assembly

We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage.</div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size: 10pt;">We are seeking an </span><strong style="font-size: 10pt;">Integration Engineer</strong><span style="font-size: 10pt;"> to take ownership of structural hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery — including airframe primary structure, wings, tail, control surfaces, and other critical load-bearing assemblies.&nbsp;</span></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><span style="font-size: 10pt;">You’ll serve as the key link between design, manufacturing, and test — ensuring structural assemblies are built to exacting standards of precision, quality, and reliability. This is a highly hands-on, cross-functional role that combines deep technical understanding with strong program execution and first-principles problem-solving.</span></div><h3>Responsibilities</h3> <li>Provide design feedback for manufacturability, assembly, testing, and transport of complex flight structures.&nbsp;</li> <li>Establish and maintain build roadmaps for assigned assemblies, ensuring cross-functional alignment, on-time hardware delivery, and proactive issue resolution.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop and release build CONOPS, work instructions, standard procedures, and process documentation that enable high-quality, high-speed execution.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support first-article and development builds in a fast-paced, early-stage environment; work hands-on with technicians to validate tooling, processes, and design intent.&nbsp;</li> <li>Drive design, process, and capital equipment trades to enable future builds and contribute to scalable manufacturing systems and infrastructure.&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead make-vs-buy assessments and collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain to achieve optimal cost, schedule, and performance outcomes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide hands-on floor support during structural assembly, integration, and test activities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Champion continuous improvement across tooling, factory workflows (ERP/MES), and internal standards to increase build efficiency, repeatability, and quality.&nbsp;</li> <h3>Qualifications</h3> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.&nbsp;</li> <li>3+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance structural assembly, integration, or manufacturing.&nbsp;</li> <li>Deep understanding of aerospace assembly best practices and structural integration principles.&nbsp;</li> <li>Exposure to tolerance stack-up analysis, structural proof testing, drilling and fastening operations, and leak or pressurization checks.&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficient in CAD, GD&amp;T, and first-principles engineering analysis.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong communicator capable of interfacing across design, manufacturing, test, and supply chain functions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Proven ability to operate autonomously and define new processes from the ground up in a fast-moving environment.&nbsp;</li> <h3>Preferred Skills & Experience </h3> <li>Experience supporting new product introduction or prototype development at an aerospace or defense company.&nbsp;</li> <li>Hands-on experience authoring and executing work instructions; capable of leading complex first-time structural builds.&nbsp;</li> <li>Familiarity with critical lift and rigging operations, structural proof and load testing, or hazardous operations.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with metallic and composite structural assemblies, including welding, bonding, or bolting (TIG/MIG/laser preferred).&nbsp;</li> <li>Background in Lean manufacturing, tooling development, or supplier management in support of rapid hardware development cycles.&nbsp;</li> <h3>Additional Requirements </h3> <li>Must be willing to work hands-on in the integration area and around heavy equipment on a daily basis.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physically active work as required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required to support key program milestones.&nbsp;</li>
