This role combines the craft and editorial judgment of a senior video editor with channel strategy, audience development, and performance ownership.</p> <p data-renderer-start-pos="285">The YouTube Producer will turn Shield AI’s work in autonomy, aviation, defense, and artificial intelligence into clear, accurate, audience-focused stories. They will manage projects from concept through final edit, packaging, publishing, and analysis while partnering with technical experts, executives, and communications teams.</p> </div><h3>What you'll do:</h3><div> <li>Own Shield AI’s YouTube programming strategy, editorial calendar, publishing cadence, and channel-growth plan.</li> <li>Develop and produce video concepts including explainers, product stories, interviews, flight-test content, event coverage, customer narratives, and short-form video.</li> <li>Lead projects from creative brief through scripting, interviews, production planning, editing, review, and delivery.</li> <li>Edit high-quality long-form and short-form content, including story structure, pacing, sound, graphics, color, captions, and final delivery.</li> <li>Package and publish videos using effective titles, thumbnails, descriptions, chapters, playlists, metadata, and calls to action.</li> </div><h3>Required qualifications:</h3><div> <li>7+ years of experience in video production, post-production, digital media, editorial, or content marketing.</li> <li>Strong portfolio demonstrating video editing, visual storytelling, interview production, narrative structure, and digital-video judgment.</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent tools.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience producing and publishing content for YouTube or similar digital-video platforms.</li> <li>Strong understanding of YouTube packaging and analytics, including thumbnails, titles, audience retention, click-through rate, watch time, and subscriber growth.</li> <li>Ability to independently develop concepts and manage productions from idea through published video.</li> <li>Willingness to travel periodically for production, events, customer activities, or field shoots.</li> </div><h3>Preferred qualifications:</h3><div> <li>Experience managing or growing a YouTube channel for a technology, aerospace, defense, industrial, science, or mission-driven organization.</li> <li>Experience with camera operation, lighting, location audio, and directing interviews or on-camera talent.</li> <li>Experience managing freelance editors, motion designers, production crews, agencies, or vendors.</li> <li>Familiarity with YouTube Shorts and adapting long-form content for short-form distribution.</li> <li>Experience working with regulated, security-conscious, or high-growth technology organizations.</li> </div><h3>What success looks like:</h3><div> <li>A consistent YouTube publishing cadence that supports Shield AI’s brand and business priorities.</li> <li>Clear, compelling content that makes Shield AI’s mission, people, products, and technology more understandable to broad audiences.</li> <li>Stronger channel performance across watch time, retention, engagement, returning viewers, and subscribers.</li> <li>Reliable, scalable production workflows that maintain quality, accuracy, and security.</li> </div>
