This position offers a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking technology in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of vehicle subsystems including hydraulic system, fuel system, mechanisms, high-voltage, mechanisms, airframe structural, and more!</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></div> <div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div> <div>Spring: Around 16 weeks (January - April)</div> <div>Summer: Around 12 weeks (May - August)</div> </div> </div><h3>Responsibilities:</h3> <li>Support the design, development, manufacturing, implementation, and maintenance of test assets, including test facilities, fixtures, rigs, and supporting hardware.</li> <li>Design test fixtures, tooling, adapters, interfaces, panels, and other hardware used in test setups.</li> <li>Assist in developing test plans, procedures, and protocols for vehicle subsystems and components.</li> <li>Perform engineering analysis to help determine target test points, instrumentation requirements, and appropriate test safety margins.</li> <li>Support test design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and technician teams to ensure alignment on test requirements and execution.</li> <li>Create CAD models, drawings, and manufacturing plans for test components, fixtures, and flight-like hardware as needed.</li> <li>Work directly with manufacturing and build teams to track hardware progress, troubleshoot issues, and support test readiness.</li> <li>Assist with the operation and troubleshooting of fluid, mechanical, and electrical test systems, including pumps, motors, heat exchangers, valves, regulators, accumulators, tubing, fittings, and high-voltage components.</li> <li>Support test execution, data collection, and troubleshooting of test hardware and systems.</li> <li>Maintain detailed documentation of test configurations, procedures, results, findings, and hardware changes.</li> <li>Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, hardware, and infrastructure and contribute to the development of new testing methods and capabilities.</li> <h3>Requirements:</h3> <li>Practical experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through internships, studies or projects.</li> <li>Must be currently enrolled in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (undergraduate student in your third or fourth year of study, or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program).</li> <li>Strong interest in testing.</li> <li>Strong understanding of engineering first principles.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.</li> <li>Enthusiasm for aviation and Hermeus's mission.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>GPA of 3.0 or above.</li>
