You will be responsibility for leading, mentoring, and upleveling the measurable performance of a very technical team of test engineers - each managing the full test lifecycle across their product lines (both software-enabled hardware and software systems).<br><br>In this role, You will lead test planning, execution, and reporting for developmental and operational test events, ensuring system-level performance is validated in both laboratory and field environments. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, program management, and government stakeholders to deliver rigorously tested systems that meet the demands of the modern battlespace.<br><br>This is an opportunity to shape test strategy for one of Anduril’s most critical Divisions, lead high-performing teams, and directly influence the success of deployed warfighter capabilities.<br></p> <h3><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h3> <ul> <li>In this role, you will lead the test planning and execution for the Menace Family of Products, Titan, and other Connected Warfare products, effectively managing both software and hardware test environments. The team of test engineers will look to You to provide them essential technical leadership, guidance, and oversight during test campaigns.</li> <li>Your responsibilities will include developing, executing, and reporting throughout system integration tests, developmental tests, operational assessments, and customer acceptance events.</li> <li>You will define and manage verification strategies that encompass requirements-based, scenario-based, and operationally relevant test methods, including the incorporation of customer required standards and metrics.</li> <li>You will coordinate cross-functional test activities in collaboration with Program Management, Engineering, and external test ranges and agencies. Oversight of Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), guiding Safety Review Boards, management of test incidents, and tracking deficiencies will be crucial.</li> <li>You are responsible to ensure that all issues and deviations from performance specifications or system requirements are documented, prioritized, and communicated to the engineering teams in a timely manner. Establishing measurable test coverage metrics will be part of your team’s responsibilities while you ensure traceability from requirements through verification and validation results.</li> <li>Your team will perform and supervise data analysis related to system performance during lab and operational test environments. They will deliver test measurements, mission outcomes, and place place a strong emphasis on actionable findings.</li> <li>As the Test Manager, you will represent the program at customer reviews, readiness boards, and milestone decision points, ensuring that test campaigns are executed safely and in a disciplined manner, whether in lab settings or austere field environments.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred). Equivalent relevant experience may substitute.</li> <li>5-8 years of experience in system-level test and evaluation of integrated hardware/software systems, with at least 3-5+ years in a technical leadership or test lead capacity.</li> <li>Proven experience leading test teams (≥ 5 engineers/technicians) and managing complex multi-site test campaigns.</li> <li>Hands-on experience executing developmental and operational test events in both lab and field environments.</li> <li>Strong background in requirements development, test planning, verification/validation, and test reporting, including traceability management.</li> <li>Experience with RF communications, tactical datalinks, and networked C2 systems in at least one DoD operational environment.</li> <li>Demonstrated familiarity with industry and DoD test processes, including MIL-STD test protocols and government verification practices.</li> <li>Skilled in test metrics definition and reporting (e.g., test coverage %, requirements verification %, defect closure rates).</li> <li>Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills with ability to brief at senior levels (internal and external).</li> <li>Ability to travel periodically up to 50% for test execution at ranges and field sites.</li> <li>Ability to immediately obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or related technical field.</li> <li>Previous experience as Test Lead on a DoD ACAT I/II program or equivalent.</li> <li>Knowledge of EMI/EMC, MIL-STD-810 environmental testing, and MIL-STD-1275/1553/1760 standards..</li> <li>Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence implementation to test workflows, test automation frameworks, data analysis tools, and test instrumentation.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, software integration, and hardware-in-the-loop test environments.</li> <li>Prior experience conducting test activities in remote, austere, or tactical operational settings.</li> <li>Eligible for Top Secret/SCI clearance.</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$146,000</span><span class="divider">—</span><span>$194,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span data-contrast="auto">The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
