As part of Anduril’s division comms vertical, you will be responsible for a specific suite of products and related contracts, owning external narratives around those products end-to-end from big picture strategy development through detailed execution. <br><br>The role is specifically focused on supporting Anduril’s Maneuver Dominance team, which develops aerial robotic systems - and the associated perception, autonomy, and command and control systems - designed to operate in large coordinated teams in concert with ground maneuver forces. Products in the portfolio include:</p> <ul> <li>Thunder: a group 5 autonomous attack rotorcraft specifically designed to multiply the combat power and increase the survivability of current and next-generation crewed attack and assault aircraft.</li> <li>Omen: a hover-to-cruise autonomous air vehicle that combines the endurance, payload, and mission flexibility of much larger airplanes into a novel runway-independent group 3 platform.</li> <li>Altius: a family of modular, highly-configurable launched effects designed for expeditionary deployment by air, ground, or maritime forces for a variety of missions.</li> <li>Bolt: a family of man-packable autonomous air vehicles, including Bolt-M, the munition variant purpose-built to arm any ground force with simple, flexible, and lethal precision firepower.</li> <li>Ghost: an expeditionary, quiet, and modular platform that delivers intuitive autonomy at the tactical edge, extended range, multi-payload capacity, and an expeditionary footprint.</li> <li>Anvil: an autonomous counter-drone interceptor that is part of Anduril’s comprehensive family of counter-UAS systems.</li> </ul> <h3>ABOUT THE JOB</h3> <p>As the Communications Manager for the Maneuver Dominance team, you will be responsible for bringing the narrative and stories around some of Anduril’s most consequential and highest profile products and programs to life. You’ll drive communications campaigns, media strategy, and thought leadership that spotlight our capabilities, differentiate our approach, and articulate our vision for the near-surface fight. <br><br></p> <h4>WHAT YOU’LL DO</h4> <ul> <li>Own the narrative for the Maneuver Dominance team and its associated products and contracts.</li> <li>Develop and execute proactive communications campaigns to drive awareness, influence, and reputation among key audiences in defense, tech, and policy circles.</li> <li>Elevate division leadership as thought leaders by developing tailored narratives, preparing executive comms materials, and securing high-impact opportunities across media, speaking platforms, and strategic engagements.</li> <li>Craft compelling messaging, op-eds, media pitches, product launches, and executive briefings that highlight our innovations and impact on modern warfighting.</li> <li>Maintain strong relationships with top-tier national security, defense trade, and tech reporters, editors, analysts, and influencers.</li> <li>Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and senior leadership to identify and elevate stories about tech, operational deployments, and customer success.</li> <li>Partner with internal and external comms teams on events, speaking engagements, and awards programs that advance the division’s visibility and thought leadership.</li> <li>Help plan and execute high-impact media experiences including demos, field tests, and site visits.</li> <li>Support crisis and issue communications as needed, with judgment and discretion.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h4>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</h4> <ul> <li>5-7 years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, tech, policy, or a comparable field - preferable with a focus on defense or aviation.</li> <li>Experience working with or as a U.S. military Public Affairs Officer (PAO), or collaborating closely with military public affairs teams, is strongly preferred.</li> <li>Strong writing chops: You can craft a tight narrative, punchy headlines, and memorable messaging with ease.</li> <li>Comfort working directly with senior leaders, reporters, and technical experts.</li> <li>Ability to juggle multiple priorities with composure, judgment, and attention to detail.</li> <li>Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$146,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$194,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span data-contrast="auto">The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
