We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage.</div><div><br></div><div> <h3>About The Role:&nbsp;</h3> </div> <div>The Manufacturing Team at Hermeus are the boots on the ground. We have a vast array of experiences ranging from welding, additive, tube bending, machining, integration, and avionics. We are a lean team who are responsible for building a vehicle that will fly. We provide crucial design feedback to our engineering team and can rapidly iterate on design and assembly.&nbsp;</div> <div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div> <div>Spring: Around 16 weeks (January - April)</div> <div>Summer: Around 12 weeks (May - August)</div> </div> </div><h3>Responsibilities:</h3> <li>Support manufacturing and process improvement projects focused on safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency</li> <li>Partner with engineers and technicians to support hardware build, integration, and production activities</li> <li>Assist with root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and resolution of manufacturing issues</li> <li>Help evaluate designs for manufacturability, testability, and production readiness</li> <li>Support development and improvement of tooling, assembly processes, and test procedures</li> <li>Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that reduce build time, improve quality, and eliminate waste</li> <li>Assist with troubleshooting non-conforming hardware and documenting findings</li> <li>Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, test procedures, BOMs, and standard operating procedures</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the transition of hardware from development into production</li> <h3>Requirements:</h3> <li>Must be currently enrolled in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (undergraduate student in your third or fourth year of study, or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program).</li> <li>Hands-on experience designing, building, testing, or manufacturing hardware through internships, coursework, research, competition teams, or personal projects</li> <li>Strong understanding of engineering first principles and interest in vehicle hardware</li> <li>Familiarity with manufacturing, assembly, testing, CAD, technical drawings, or GD&amp;T</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Enthusiasm for aviation and Hermeus’s mission</li> <li>GPA of 3.0 or above</li>
