You’ll work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to execute precise, high-quality welds across a variety of materials, ensuring all products meet rigorous performance and safety standards. This role is hands-on and suited for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, technical, and safety-focused environment. </span></div><h3>Responsibilities</h3> <li>Perform precision TIG, MIG, and arc welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-nickel alloys. </li> <li>Interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols to ensure dimensional accuracy and conformance. </li> <li>Execute high-precision laser welding on thin-gauge and high-strength alloys, maintaining tight control of heat input, distortion, and weld integrity in mission-critical hardware.</li> <li>Fabricate, assemble, and pressure-test structural and piping systems supporting aerospace and defense operations. </li> <li>Maintain compliance with ASME, AWS, and company weld standards, following approved procedures. </li> <li>Uphold strict safety, cleanliness, and quality standards in all work areas. </li> <li>Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve fabrication challenges. </li> <li>Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization. </li> <h3>Requirements</h3> <li>High school diploma or GED; technical welding certification preferred. </li> <li>5+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or high-precision fabrication. </li> <li>Skilled in blueprint interpretation and all-position welding (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead). </li> <li>Proven ability to fabricate and weld carbon and stainless structures and pipe to spec. </li> <li>Must pass company-administered weld qualification tests and internal inspections. </li> <li>Available to work overtime and varied shifts to meet mission timelines. </li> <li>Physically able to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and operate in confined or outdoor environments. </li> <h3>Preferred Skills and Experience </h3> <li>5+ years of GTAW welding experience with stainless, carbon, Inconel, aluminum, or titanium. </li> <li>Knowledge of ASME Section IX, AWS D17.1, or MIL-STD welding codes. </li> <li>Experience in aerospace component fabrication or ground support systems. </li> <li>Skilled in tube and pipe cutting, grinding, and precision assembly. </li> <li>Familiar with pressure testing, inspection, and NDE methods. </li> <li>Proficient with precision measuring instruments and quality documentation. </li> <li>Understanding of welding metallurgy and heat control for high-integrity welds. </li> <li>Familiarity with advanced tooling and fixturing practices used in precision welded assembly fabrication. </li> <h3>Physical Requirements: </h3><div> <ul type="disc"> <li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li> <li>Frequent walking through office, manufacturing, and test facility environments.</li> <li>Occasional standing, bending, or reaching as part of employee engagement or site walkthroughs.</li> </ul></div>
