If you want to work with the most talented people on Earth furthering space exploration for humanity, come join us.</p></div><p>Vast is looking for a <strong>Senior</strong> <strong>Propulsion Technician</strong>, reporting to the<strong> Staff Propulsion Test Engineer, Mojave Test Site, </strong>to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of human-rated space stations.</p> <p>This will be a full-time, <strong>non-exempt</strong> position located at our <strong>Mojave</strong> location. </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build and maintain test facility, including Ground Support Equipment (GSE), propellant, high pressure, and cryogenic systems</li> <li>Work alongside engineers to build, test, and maintain fluid systems</li> <li>Work on test pad to perform cold flows, hot fire testing, and other hazardous operations</li> <li>Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on fluid system, mechanical, and electrical systems</li> <li>Work with engineers to build and maintain rocket thrusters and other test articles</li> <li>Ability to conduct test operations in the field for extended period of time</li> <li>Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy machinery (Forklift, All-terrain Forklift, overhead equipment, etc.)</li> <li>Implement continuous improvements to increase safety and test site productivity</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate</li> <li>3+ years of experience working in a production, mechanical, or manufacturing environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Skills &amp; Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Read &amp; Understand Plumbing and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&amp;IDs)</li> <li>Experience building and testing high pressure fluid/gas systems</li> <li>Tube fitting &amp; bending, familiar with common industry fittings systems</li> <li>Liquid Oxygen (LOX) &amp; Cryogenics handling and systems maintenance</li> <li>Gaseous Oxygen (GOX) and Nitrous Oxide (N2O) handling and systems maintenance</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Willingness to work overtime, or weekends to support critical mission milestones</li> <li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">Pay Range: California</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$40</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$57 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><div style="line-height: 1;"> </div> <div style="line-height: 1;"><strong>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS</strong></div> <div style="line-height: 1;"> </div> <div style="line-height: 1;"> <div> <div data-qa="message_pane"> <div> <div id="message-list"> <div id="message-list"> <div data-qa="slack_kit_scrollbar"> <div> <div data-qa="slack_kit_list"> <div id="message-list_1770163429.476589" data-qa="virtual-list-item" data-item-key="1770163429.476589"> <div data-qa="message_container" data-qa-unprocessed="false" data-qa-placeholder="false" data-msg-ts="1770163429.476589" data-msg-channel-id="D1T52LDR4"> <div data-qa-hover="true"> <div> <div> <div> <div data-qa="message_content"> <div> <div data-qa="message-text"> <div data-qa="block-kit-renderer"> <div> <div> <div>Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.
