We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage.</div><div><br></div><div>The Flight Software "Hardware in the Loop" intern will support the setup, integration, and testing of real-time simulation environments that connect hardware components with software models. </div> <div> </div> <div>Fall: Around 16 weeks (August - December)</div><h3>Responsibilities:</h3> <li>Configure and maintain test benches for system evaluation</li> <li>Develop and implement test and automation scripts</li> <li>Debug signal and communication issues across systems</li> <li>Assist in validating vehicle and flight deck control systems</li> <li>Document test results and maintain accurate records</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance system reliability and performance</li> <h3>Minimum Requirements:</h3> <li>Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.</li> <li>Proficiency in Julia or strong experience with scientific computing languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++.</li> <li>Experience with working with hardware integrations and embedded computers (Raspberry PIs, arduinos, STM32s). </li> <li>Strong understanding of engineering first principles</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams</li> <li>Enthusiasm for aviation and Hermeus' mission</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>GPA of 3.0 or above</li>
