Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, Indirect

We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage.</div><div><br></div><h3><span role="presentation" dir="ltr">About The Role:</span></h3> <p>We are seeking a <strong>Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, Indirect</strong> to lead sourcing strategy and supplier management across critical indirect spend categories within a fast-paced aerospace and defense environment. This is a highly strategic role focused on building scalable sourcing frameworks, driving supplier performance, and supporting rapid company growth from development through production scale-up.<br><br>You will own end-to-end sourcing activities across categories such as Professional Services, Software/SaaS, IT Infrastructure, Facilities, Capital Equipment, and Corporate Services. The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, commercially strong, operationally minded, and comfortable operating in ambiguity while partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, IT, and Executive Leadership.</p><h3>Responsibilities:</h3> <li>Develop and execute sourcing strategies across indirect procurement categories including Professional Services, Software/SaaS, IT, Facilities, and Capital Equipment</li> <li>Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including supplier selection, RFP/RFQ management, negotiations, contracting, and supplier onboarding</li> <li>Drive supplier negotiations focused on cost, scalability, risk mitigation, quality, and long-term partnerships</li> <li>Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Legal, and Operations teams to support company priorities</li> <li>Build scalable procurement processes and category management strategies to support rapid organizational growth</li> <li>Establish supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvement across cost, delivery, and operational efficiency</li> <li>Support infrastructure expansion, CapEx initiatives, and operational build-outs tied to company scaling efforts</li> <li>Identify opportunities for procurement optimization, spend visibility improvements, and process automation</li> <li>Influence stakeholders and leadership through data-driven sourcing recommendations and market intelligence</li> <h3>Requirements:</h3> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or related field</li> <li>10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within a high-growth or technical environment</li> <li>Strong experience managing indirect spend categories such as Professional Services, Software/SaaS, IT, Facilities, or CapEx</li> <li>Proven experience building sourcing strategies and procurement processes within startup or scaling organizations</li> <li>Strong commercial negotiation and supplier management experience involving complex agreements and contracts</li> <li>Experience partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, IT, and Legal organizations</li> <li>Strong analytical, operational, and stakeholder management capabilities</li> <li>Ability to operate autonomously and drive initiatives with minimal oversight</li> <li>Experience managing multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously under aggressive timelines</li> <h3>Preferred Skills and Experience:</h3><div aria-label="Page 1" data-page-number="1"> <li>Aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, robotics, automotive, or hardware startup experience</li> <li>Experience supporting organizations transitioning from R&amp;D into scaled production environments</li> <li>Familiarity with supplier industrialization, manufacturing scale-up, and infrastructure expansion efforts</li> <li>Experience supporting sourcing initiatives within regulated or security-conscious environments</li> <li>Strong understanding of ERP, procurement, and spend management systems</li> <li>Experience sourcing Software/SaaS, cloud infrastructure, technical consulting, or enterprise IT services</li> <li>MBA, CPSM, CPM, CIPS, or related procurement certifications preferred</li> <li>Experience developing procurement KPIs, dashboards, and operational reporting frameworks</li> <li>Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional teams in fast-paced, execution-focused environments</li> </div>
